Hi, did you get this lathe?? I am looking at this one on Ebay for £888 or the Warco wm180 which seems out of stock at present looking at comments all on the Web, what I can say about service is Warco will at least most likely be there if their lathe needs any repair or otherwise parts. I suspect after sales from an Ebay lathe seller is going to he patchy at best!!Hi I'm John and live in Manchester England I am retired now and have been longing to own a small lathe to do small projects I have in mind,I have been looking on ebay at a Crenex 8.7 x 23.6 I have picked this mainly for the DBC 1100 W motor and quite large bore through spindle and it's compact size to go on a bench top and it's pretty much at the top of my budget but I might be able to stretch that if any one here can offer a better option.I know these chinese lathes can have quality issues and would be most gratefull for any information the members here can offer. Thanks John
However the Crenex 8.7×23 does seem a lot better specced than the WM180, which several reviewers on YT have mentioned an issue with brushes on the motor failing early on !@!
Any further thoughts anyone ???
The last lathe I bought 30 years ago was secondhand & I would never buy a s/h again as it was just to difficult & time consuming to get it working accurately , for me, I just want a lathe I can use not fettle to much :0
