I"ve got a few things I'll be needing, so off to the store today after work.

Got the coupon (email), printed it out and headed to the store. The local HF has cleaned out all the mills and lathes. Only thing left is a couple of benchtop drill presses and sheet metal bending brakes.

No tools, no QCTP (what I went to get), no mills, no holders. No compressors anymore, either. The place looks to be clearing out all the larger stuff, in favor of more space for the cheap hand tools.

Guess I'll end up ordering online.

My local store is heading that way too, though not as bad yet. Most of the big machines are on the way out to make room for boating, fishing and gardening supplies. WTF? We can already get that kind of crap stuff all over the place.

Perhaps its a sign of the difficult times we are all wrestling with. 20% off not very much, is not very much but sounds good.

We have a petrol retailer who makes heavy discounts on fuel and then hangs an "Out of Service" sign on all but one or two pumps

Hmmm, I'll have to check out those horiz/vert bandsaws again. They are still a bit large for my little apt setup though.

I've been eye-balling the Proxxon micro-bandsaw, as it's got a pretty good review.

Micro-mark has a little apt-sized H/V bandsaw that looks pretty good. Saw one for sale just the other day but passed on it since I have the ubiquitous 4x6.
