This looks like a really great site and I am looking forward to learning from the experience of those who post here!
I live in Portland, and with the exception of a couple very simple wobblers built out of aluminum many years ago, I am new to model engine building. It's something I've always wanted to do.......
My home shop is in a corner of my garage and in a state of flux at the moment - currently I have a Grizzly G0704 that has been converted to CNC, a 30+ year old Prazi mini-lathe, and a small 3d printer that are mostly used for fabricating custom fixturing for the laser alignment and geometric measurement systems that I use in my occupation.
My new 10x22 lathe will be delivered tomorrow, and I plan on spending some time this weekend getting it set up and run in - I'm going to keep the Prazi, as it's very accurate and extremely handy for really small stuff.
