I also have a set of 10 Gesswein diamond files I'll include for $50. I think they sell for $120 or so.

What are those diamond files made for? They seem to all have the same size shank end, as if they go into some machine.

Hello Tom.
The files arrived today. they are perfect, Thanks.

Ron. To my knowledge they are mainly used in watchmaking, held by hand, as a normal file. They give a very fine finish, almost a polish on hardened steel. They also keep a sharp or square edge very well so that you can finish a pivot right up to a shoulder. I am sure that they have other uses. Buchanan

Ron I should read your post more carefully. I see you were referring to the diamond files and I replied about the ruby files. look like they would fit in a Diprofile type reciprocating hand piece But i may be wrong again. Buchanan
