Last week I received an email from somebody down in the States from St. Louis (Which I think is in Missouri). It said that the sender enjoyed my posts about model steam and gas engines so much, they wanted to send me a couple of brass plates they had. Well yes, that would be nice. I have received some strange "gifts" and some strange emails since I started posting on public forums 5 years ago, with a link to my engineering business in the posts. Yesterday I got a notice from the post office, telling me I had a parcel to pick up at the mail depot. I picked it up tonight, and WOW!!! Absolutely unbelieveable. Two brass plates 12" x 10" x 1/4" thick. I'm not going to mention names on here, other than my own which you all know anyways, but THANK YOU---THANK YOU----THANK YOU!!! Based on what I am currently paying for brass at my metal suppliers, these have to be worth at least a small island in the Carribean.----Brian

That is a mighty sweet bit of appreciation indeed and well deserved, based on my reads of your posts.

Brian,
You've given a lot to this forum and it's good to see you get some tangibles in return.
