I seem to have only "Half-The-Knack". I can take all manner of stuff appart, but seem to have great difficulty in putting it back together, or making something useful out of it...

I've pointed out to my son that there's no hope at all for his kids - my dad made stuff from Heathkits (finished the color TV, used it for better than 20 years), dad who plays in the shop making engines, was a ham radio operator and programs for a living, he's an optical physicist.

Nope, no hope for his kid.

(I'm going to ply that grandson with Lego Technics anyway, just to be sure.)
