Hello, everyone! I'm new to this forum and am looking forward to communicating with others.
I'm interested in IC engines in general and Diesel engines in particular. I capitalized Mr. Diesel's
name because I greatly admire the man and his work.
I'm interested in building a working miniature two- or four-cylinder diesel engine. I don't know
if anyone else shares the same interest but would like to at least start a conversation.

Welcome, glad to have you.

I have a strong interest in diesel engines, and have been around and operated 453 and 671 Detroit Diesels for a very long time, as well as running two-cylinder Lister diesels.
I have a one-cylinder Lister that was saved from the scrap yard, but have not disassembled it yet to study the parts (photo attached).

I would really like to build a one-cylinder 2-stroke diesel, perhaps a semi-diesel/hot bulb (whatever is the correct terminology), since I think that type of engine would have the highest probability of me being able to successfully build and run it.

I have a pipe dream of building a 30 foot boat with a hot-bulb diesel engine in it, sort of a small scale of this boat.
The sound is like no other.

I have studied Find Hansen's engines, and would like to make something about twice his typical size.

I can't find the full ytube video for this engine, but the Ellwe style like in this photo/video is what I would like to build.

There are quite a few diesel threads on this forum.
This forum is somewhat of what I would call "model diesel central station".

Here are a few sections that I have run across, and these would be a starting point for my design, assuming I had time to start this design (not at the moment, but it is on my list).

I don't know where I found these photos either (apologies to the owner), but it would appear someone cast and built an Ellwe diesel engine.
Looks like they were posted on the website "Motore Marino "Ellwe" 33 cc, which I can't find a link for.
