Up until now, to get a brake dresser for truing up your diamond wheels was a very expensive affair. You can do it with a carborundum stone but it is neither very accurate and you tend to wear away your diamond very quickly.
My Norton one retails at around 1100 UK pounds when new and around a quarter of that when bought second hand (if you can find one). I was lucky and bought mine off a chap on ebay for around 30UK pounds, he knew not what it was, and it came with a new spare wheel as well.
There is now one that is very reasonably priced.
