Hi, I finally got my Jan Ridders "Puppy" engine running, but I am having a problem with the viton o-ring that is specified to seal the spark plug. The ring keeps distorting and kind of blows out in one spot which lowers the compression. I saw solid, flat copper sealing washers on Amazon, but am wondering if they are the same as a copper crush washer. In any event, I am trying to locate the proper sealing washer for my m10x1 home made spark plug. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John.

Take your spark plug to the hardware store, slip over the smallest cross section diameter ( 1/16in or 1.5mm) O-ring sizes that roll over the threads to the seat and install hand tight in the engine. If you wrench them on they will distort and tear. You do not need a Viton ring. A nitrile plumbers o-ring will work fine.
