Cracker

This is really a question to whomever has built or is building the Cracker Loco. On the wobbler engine on the plans it shows a 3mm wide slot on the top of the piston. Is this necessary or can I build without it?

Hmm.. I don't remember the slot in the plans, but mine doesn't have one.

Update: I went and looked at the plans-- that's for the bottom end of the piston, so it can clear the crank.
