It simply takes too long time to make a clamp with one of these:

For 'bigger' clamps I think it's a good idea.

I'm not quite sure what the meaning of this thread is. I went to the link and saw the pictures but am still confused about what you are trying to say. I've attached a picture of the small clamps I made for one of my engines.
