I lost the ticket this year, and am a bit late.

Just to remind everyone, if you are going to be ordering bits 'n bobs out of Asia, the Chinese New Year is from 23rd to 27th January 2012.

So expect delays of up to about a fortnight after the event. This caused by the backlog that happens every year at this time.

Smart Fallas those Chinese *beer*

Spreading the new year's hangover accros 4 days Thm:

Why didn't someone in the West think of that?

I actually try NOT to order for about 14 days before and afterwards.

The reason being, lots of stuff goes missing during this period. I can't say whether stolen or just misplaced, but just be careful.

It's actually a good thing - gives us all a chance to recover from the Christmas spend-up!

The problem in my point of view is that, due to the availability of this so called "specialized" cheap assembly factories, in my country, Portugal, companies are closing one after the other, leaving people unemployed. Even the education, young people with diplomas have to settle with poor jobs not even related to their course and lately, the Chinese are buying out our key companies starting out with our power company.

If this isn't serious, I don't know what is.
