Don’t tell anyone, but I just make stuff, not engines, so while some features are critical, many are not.Luckily I'm into building clocks. While engines need close tolerances to run well, clocks need to rattle a bit in order to run at all.

I won't tell if you don't tell anyone that I came to this forum to learn machining techniques to repair my old farm equipment and don't often even make stuff. I took a single quarter in college on machining but...it was only one quarter and that was over 50 years ago. I may have forgotten some of it.Don’t tell anyone, but I just make stuff, not engines, so while some features are critical, many are not.
Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me!I won't tell if you don't tell anyone that I came to this forum to learn machining techniques to repair my old farm equipment and don't often even make stuff. In the immortal words of John Wilding - "If it rattles it will run."Luckily I'm into building clocks. While engines need close tolerances to run well, clocks need to rattle a bit in order to run at all.
