Don’t tell anyone, but I just make stuff, not engines, so while some features are critical, many are not.
I won't tell if you don't tell anyone that I came to this forum to learn machining techniques to repair my old farm equipment and don't often even make stuff. I took a single quarter in college on machining but...it was only one quarter and that was over 50 years ago. I may have forgotten some of it.

Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me!

No formal training in metal (I was only assigned Joinery & Pattern Making at my Science/Technology High School), just watch & learn - with some hands-on - from the Department Machinist (a retired Tool & Die Maker) at University not quite 50 years ago.
