In my little machine shop area where space is at a premium, I have put up a few shelves to hold things. They work great, but if I am machining something which is not balanced, all of the items on the shelves vibrate and jiggle to the front and promptly nose dive off the shelf into the swarf, spilling their contents and making me crazy. Last week, in an effort to stave off some of my incredible home heating bills, I went to the hardware store and bought a bunch of 3/8" x 3/8" adhesive backed foam weather-stripping to seal up cracks around my doors, attic hatches, etcetera. I had about 8 foot left over, and thought "Hey---A perfect anti-fall-off device!!!" I stuck a peice along the front of each shelf, and it works great. And yes, with advancing age, I am a bit of a pill head, and the empty pill containers make great individual containers for different size hardware, taps, and misc. screws.----Brian

I use the pill bottles, too. They make great containers for all the tiny peices of hardware.

I like the tap drill notes on the side.

Good thinking,Brian. This made me take another look at my old computer table's usefulness. It's been taking up space without being used, but now I may turn it into another bench space.
