Howdy...

I've got an old fashioned model-t buzz coil hooked up.

Should the flapper on the end be buzzing when the points make contact?

Or should just the spark plug be sparking?

I have attached a rough schematic...it shows the twin cylinders and the flywheel in the middle. I have a bolt in the flywheel acting as the timer. Each time the bolt comes around it makes contact with both points on the buzz coil. Not sure if it is correct.

The flappers on the buzz coils keep "flapping" and buzzing.

I hate electricity.

When the points are closed so that current can flow, the coil should buzz and give a continuous flow of sparks at the plug until the points open again.

Thank you folks...I'm still not sure if it is grounded properly. I have gotten shocked a few times and would rather not have that happen again.

When I get this squared away I am going to make a proper electrical schematic and share it with everyone.
