Exactly. And it took tens of thousands of years to do so, each characteristic, one at a tyme."Vive la difference!".. But these same nomads also found that where grasses grew well was a more temperate climate, the dried seeds could be stored easily through "non-growing"
seasons, making winter survival better, and a host of other reasons. Including genetic changes to have less pigment to block UV in the skin, differences in eyes, liver, and other organ details, etc.
And grass seeds can make beer! - Yummy!
