I have bought an old hand-made copper boiler from a junk shop. It is along the general lines of a ST 501. It looks well made and as far as I can tell compiles with AMEB in terms of dimensions/ use of stays etc
I will talk to our local club inspector before firing it, but before bothering them, want to know if what i have is likely to be good vs scrap.
I will do a cold hydro pressure test as a preliminary
My actual question is whether there is some way to be sure that the construction is silver brazing rather than solder. Is there a test?
