I'm 64 years old. I've got the chest cold from Hell that won't go away. I've got customers who aren't paying their bills. I've got a hit and miss engine that won't run no matter what I do. I just went down to my local machine shop to "borrow" some 320 and 600 grit "honing paste", and when I came back out to my truck, and turned on the radio "House of the rising Sun" by Eric Burden and the Animals was playing----And suddenly I was 20 again, and made of solid Gold!!!! It would have been the same if "White Rabbit" had been playing, or even "Copperhead Road"!!! Maybe I'm just an old hippy radical/biker wanna be, but God, I love it when something can lift my heart like that.-----Brian

Good one, Bob!!! Back in the day, I never attended many live concerts----In fact, there really weren't that many in Ontario, Canada. BUT---Roy Orbison came to Belleville, in what must have been the mid 1970's and played a one night concert. This was a few years after he had been really big, and I went expecting to listen to a has been. My God, the man just blew me away. He sang for 2 or 3 hours, covered all his big hits, and it seemed to me that he sounded BETTER a few years after his really big releases on the radio than he did originally. It was a night that I will remember forever.
