I know there has been a bunch of HMEM members that have jumped on the $99.00 Alibre offer. I am one of them.

I started out with the free Express version about 2-3 months ago. I spent very little time on it as I kept running into corners I couldn't work my way out of. I felt it was it was the short comings of the free version, although several of you member were doing well with it. When the Standard version came out for $99.00 I bought it. Because I had the free version already loaded I couldn't duplicate the account so I ended up buying it through Alibre sales. They downloaded on my computer.

I tried using it by following the tutorials and still run into deadends.
deere_x475guy (Bob) offered to help me. We worked thru email and after many attempts to solve the problem, Bob determined I didn't have the 11.2 version.

Today I contacted Alibre and worked with the support dept. They downloaded the new version again and it still did not work properly. It was corrupted during the download. I contacted support again and again we loaded the program. This time it came thru just fine.

I have gone thru the tutorials without problems. I think, with enough time, I might master this program. ;D

I post this long speal just in case some of the rest of you are having problems getting started with Alibre. They have been wonderful to work with.

I want to especially thank deere_x475guy (Bob) for all his help. He is a very patient man to help someone as inept as me on a computer. There is a karma for you.

Arv, good news for sure. They will give support for issues like you had and your welcome. You will be up and running in no time.
