Hi All
Just a quick question , I'm going to buy a QCTP for my 7x12 & the two I'm looking at is the A2Z & 0XA from LMS. I'm sure both are good with about a $30 difference extra for the 0XA. Just wondered if one is maybe better . I like the look of the A2Z but I like the 0XA being steel. I don't think I need to modify either also. Thx for any info on this Lee

I have the A2Z on my 7x14. I really like it, and it is holding up well for my work. I don't think you'd be disappointed with either one.

I bought the Tormach 0XA from LMS and am happy with it on my 7x mini-Lathe. I chose a wedge type based on opinions on this forum. The unexpected benefit was additional rigidity for all operations.

Same old story: I spent some time after I got it making more holders, including some for my own special needs.

I looked at both at cabin fever , I have an A2Z on my mini and it works fine. The OXA is slightly bigger and wedge style .
IMHO go for the OXA as long as you can get additional tool holders.

Thanks everyone for your help in choosing . I ended up ordering the A2Z last week as I couldn't find anything negative about it & being on a bit of a tighter budget getting set up I figure $30 saved toward some more tooly stuff was ok too. To be honest I hadn't checked in for awhile on this thread(shameful I know) & after reading the last couple posts I probably would have gone for the 0XA, lesson learned. Thx again Lee

I had been trying to decide this myself and based on opinions here and elsewhere, I'll be getting an 0XA.

LMS have two 0XA sets on their site for the same price, one listed as 'Tormach', the other not.
The Tormach one is out-of-stock so tempted to go with the other.

Seems one set comes with a 4 degree cut-off tool holder while the other comes with a horizontal tool holder.
Which holder would be more usefull?
Horizontal: http://littlemachineshop.com/products/product_view.php?ProductID=3117
4 degree: http://littlemachineshop.com/products/product_view.php?ProductID=3774

Edit: I am a goose, eventually found the info I needed on LMS. The Horiz holder suits the centre height for 7x machines.
Looks like I'll have to wait for new stock.
