What a great day at the Flywheelers swap meet and antique engine show. I've been attending for over ten years and still saw things I never noticed before

Strange steam traction roller converted to gasoline engine.

The 1/2 scale Avery replica steam tractor is a beautiful engine and so docile compared to the full size authentic Case.

The machine shop was open, and was able to examine a small Pratt Whitney lathe that the volunteer told me predated a working carriage or machine screws.

Also talked to a nice fellow about his large 2 stroke aircraft engine collection. Note the outboard engine.


Really nice weather (sunny and mid 70's so all the out buildings were open to visitors. Check out the plumb bob collection including a sexy "plumb Barbara".

Gee, sorry I missed the original post. Might have been able to make the 2-1/4hour drive. It looks like a fun way to spend a few hours.

Must look it up next time I visit friends in Jupiter. (I didn't know the USA was old enough to have "History".).
A couple of worthwhile museum visits we have done:
Ringlings museum - Sarasota; (The large Circus model is Brilliant! - as is the art collection).
Flagler Museum - West Palm, (A story of the railways in Florida).
Kennedy Space centre (of course!). - Not so far from Melbourne
And there are lots more.
