16v engine

Hi i am thinking of building a 4 cylinder dohc 16 valve engine. Has anyone done this as i havent seen any models like this or any plans?

Ron sells plan for a scratch built iconic Offy 4. There are various plans/castings around for 4 cylinder engines of different configurations and some home designs as well. Depends on exactly what you are looking for.

Ron's 4 cylinder Offy is a thing of beauty but not for the beginner by any means. Being as this is your first post maybe you could introduce yourself and tell us what your modeling interests are and what type of tooling you have.

Thanks for the replies. My name is Glenn, i am a self employed mechanical engineer from Wales in the UK. I have been machining professionally for about 25 years. My workshop which is in daily use for my work contains an ajax turret mill, an ajax lathe with 6 foot bed, mig and tig welding, and all the tools you would normally associate with them. I have been involved in motor sport in the past and a 16v dohc engine seemed the logical thing to want to build.
