I just spoke with the folks at Online Metals and they confirmed that they ship to Australia.

I have also spoken with McMaster and they are investigating, assuming they would ship 3, 1 ft pieces of 1" 1144 rod to Sydney (if you DM me your address and the size you need I can provide that to them for a more detailed answer).

In either case, I suggest shipping 1 ft lengths to keep the shipping down: longer lengths cost less per foot, but the shipping difference usually wipes out any savings.

I suspect it will also be on a slow cargo ship--3 months.

@DiegoVV

McMaster said they will not be able to ship. If you DM me your contact info and the size & quantity you want I will get a quote from UPS if I were to have shipped to me and then on to you. However, I think the best alternative will be for you to work directly with Online Metals.

In the Philippines there are "balik bayan" boxes that get shipt for about $100US. The weight does not matter. I thimpfk there are several companies that will do that including LBC.

I hope it's a good beer rather than that pee water that is passt off as beer. I like dark beer.
Unlike the newer newer territories, we here in the Original Colonies know how to brew; I prefer Lager; yes, around here it is capitalized, as there is only one:

PM me and I'll send you my address so's you can send me a case to test. ANYTHINBG has got to be better than the peewater that is overhyped from advertising.

I noticed this thread a bit late, but anyway: for high strength combined with low internal stresses and very good machinebility we prefer the Swiss made special steel ETG100 or ETG 80. Excellent for gears, spindles, crankshafts and the like; in general components that undergo lots of machining and that you want to get out strong and straight, with a very good surface finish. You may want to check the availability near you.
