    Thank you guys for the suggestion. I will try the suggestion to clamp the work piece to the sadle of my lathe. Will see if I may have to get a small v block to help me out. Thank you again for replies very much appreciated all if the suggeestions. Regards

    Thank you for all the replies. yes, I wish I don't have to follow the size and go with the more common one as you guys suggested. Reason I go with the size mentioned is becuase I am trying to tap a hole for fuel barb (which the thread comes with the thread 8/32) - not sure if this is the term...
