    Try setting your compound slide over 5.7 deg, this gives you a ratio of 10 to 1 so you can machine tenths. And if you polish your cutting tool all will be well.

    Sorry Steve but these two threads are not the same on two counts. 3/16 is 0.187 and no 10 is 0.192. 3/16 x 40 is 55deg and no 10 x40 is 60 deg. not much but in these small sizes VERY important.
