Unless you're getting the material for free, you would be better to check one of the discount stores like Costco for heavy duty shelves. I picked up a set for car parts that has six shelves that will hold 800 lbs. Comes with either feet or casters for less cost than the material to make the frame.

I certainly like the carbide tipped blades. I built this holder for 26mm blade that fits my QCTP. Makes parting a breeze. Jim

I got the same hint from another site. Sure enought,the battery dimentions are not even close! Amazing that you can have exactly the same number and have such variation in dimentions. I will go looking for other batteries. Jim

I have a relatively new (5 months) 734 Starrett electronic micrometer. This morning the display faded and quit. Thought it must be the battery. Picked up a new battery but the display is still dead. Any clues? Is there some combination of buttons that sets contrast or turns the display off?
