I found a big bucket of "teflon" of cuts at transport supply place. $5 each. Thought i had struck gold. All were hdpe or nylon. Maybe its the same. Melts with a hot knife and it not really white. Learning lots about different plastic tho :)

I will go with the 4.3mm space. I can easily lower the compresion but harder to raise it. I only have cam and rocker arm and I can see if it will work. If its finished by christmas I will be happy

The bad bits are on the other side. I would also cut some more relief on the cutter next time so it doesnt kick out so much. Thats why I (nearly said bad word) messed up this one. Its a fasinating process, the way you cut a curve with straight cutters. Addicted..

so i cut some teeth. they worked out ok but my work holding wasnt quite the thing and altho the tooth came out even, i decided to make another tool with proper mod 1 spacing and try again. Pity my rubber lathe wont comply. I will need to work on the compound so i can lock it to stop the tool...

I Got It!!!! I finally understand! I should have paid more attention in math. The circle/straight line/Pi thing just clicked. If i am making a 1 module gear, the spacing should be 1 x Pi. If i adjust my PCD for my .954 module, my gears will work with each other, but not with anyone elses...
