    3D Printing

Nice work. That's a great use of 3D printing. You probably could have done it as quickly if you had a $3 million dollar 27 axis CNC milling machine. Chris

Super awesome for RobWilson... He doesn't see adds. But does he see ads? :hDe: To be completely honest, if my $20 wouldn't have eliminated the ads I saw, I probably wouldn't have paid up. Chris

    Bernay Steam Engine CAD Drawings

Thanks... I actually found the plans at that link a couple days ago. I also found a 3D PDf, and a couple animations on YouTube. I didn't post anything because it seems like maybe access to the plans was guarded and I didn't want to step on anybody's toes. It's a neat engine... Hopefully my...

When you get that done you'll have to ride that up to Estes Park and show it off. Chris

    Bernay Steam Engine CAD Drawings

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't see plans or pics of this engine anywhere in this thread. Is it just me? So, I'm curious of course... Can somebody link me to the plan set and pictures so I can see what it is? Thanks! Chris

So, I just became a HMEM supporting member for a year... $19.95... I'd have done that earlier, but I didn't know it was an option. No more ads! Now the forums load in about 3 seconds instead of 30 seconds! woohoo1 Chris

Another engine plan request - Paradox Engine

Thanks Dave. I've seen videos of those engines before. I found the Polly AGE engine kit. Looks like it'd cost me around $350 USD by the time I bought all the parts and had it shipped to me... That's WAY beyond my budget right now. I'll put that in my memory banks, though. Chris

Another engine plan request - Paradox Engine

This time I'm looking for plans for a more advanced project. A Paradox non-compression engine. I haven't come across any plan sets online so far... Just lots of discussion. I particularly like Nick Rowland's Paradox Engines. I've asked him for plans... He says he has plans to offer plans, but...

    Request for engine plan suggestions

Great Suggestions. I went to John-Tim's and found the #25 wobbler... I sent the link to him. I think I'll give that one a go for my first one as well. I have the Webster and Kerzel plans, I'll send those to him. I went to Jan Ridders' site and thought the Miniature Flame Eater MK2 was...

    Request for engine plan suggestions

I have a mechanically wise but beginning machinist friend that's ready for some beginner engine plans. He's a retired plumber, rancher, & fireman that's familiar with full size IC and steam engines & most things mechanical. I told him I'd round some steam, sterling, and IC plan info up and get...

    Jack's Knucklehead Plans Feedback Wanted

While I haven't seen the Knucklehead plans, $20 doesn't sound bad at all. Where do we go to see the plans sets you have? Chris

I bought that gauge set and it came in yesterday. It's in good shape and I'm very happy with it. I just thought I'd post it here for future reference. Chris

Speaking of 3D printing... I had an idea...

I've been interested in a 3D printer for a while now, but I don't have the money to buy one that I think is actually reliable, has good resolution, and isn't painfully slow. Then... BOOM! The "something To Doodle With" thread kick-started my brain. I already have a very well built 3-Axis CNC...

    Radius gage set= SOLD

I Googled Fujikoyga... Nothing came up. I may be interested, but have a few questions. Is it a good Japanese brand, or a not so good Chinese brand? Are they all in perfectly fine usable condition? Is the set really all the way from 1/64th to 1/2 by 64ths? No 1/32" jumps? I'm new to...

    Santa brought me steel!

Yep, looks like that. According to the DOT specs I read, it should (maybe) be ASTM A663, A615, or A36... I need to find out 'zactly what it is, so I'll get a piece tested. Chris

Hello from the Rubber Capital of the World

Welcome. I'm new here too, and have already learned a lot. I bet somebody will recognize your steam engine, too. I won't ask about the "rubber capitol" thing! Chris
