    A Two Cylinder Steam Engine

Ian, STEP format is the most widely used data exchange form It is possible your CAD software does not allow to convert to stp or step format. But seeing your 3D images I thought you were using one of the latest CAD software. The older versions of AutoCAD (for instance) does not allow to export...

    Stirling engine build

Dunno, Just try it, my guess is it will not. But what will help, if the six holes are done, use these holes to screw lead leftovers in close contact with the flywheel. The lead will absorb the vibrations. BALANCE...! Chris

    Stirling engine build

Supporting the flywheel by that thin main shaft, it could be the flywheel will start to vibrate messing up the surface you're about to finish. In case this happens just put the flywheel in the lathes chuck protecting the flywheel with thin aluminum leftovers. Let's hope for the best... Chris

    Making a thin walled Cylinder

Yes I did, but did not succeed. The aluminum got to hard to proceed. Instead of a cylinder I got a nice cone shaped thing. Annealing is the key I suppose. During my first trial I worked with a fixed stud to do the pushing work. For the next trial I made myself a rotating tool, with a roller...

    Twin stema engine

Hi, Could you also post a 3D version of that engine, so we could have a look inside and around it. If you do just save your project as STEP or STP format. Most of the 3D software programs can read it. Chris

    Issues Milling Aluminium

Hi, For all cutting action, lathe, milling, drilling I use (own formula) a mixture 50% standard oil - 50% White spirit (Belgium , don't know the English name for White spirit..(help..!) Works very well...! Used with aluminum it gives me, every time again, a high glossy surface. For reaming...
