    Potty three cylinder radial

It runs CCW if you feed the air in the other way through the centre it will run in reverse, I know some guys who have built this type of engine with a two way valve so they can reverse it. I had to check the vid of my engine running as i couldn't remember which way it ran...

    Simple horizontal Mill Engine

Thanks Geoff: no need for an apology it always amuses me when things go off on a tangent, in an interesting debate. *discussion* I'm planning to draw up a series of simple engines based around common standard parts, I've got a vertical 1/2 drawn, and a grasshopper sketched out, don't know...

    Simple horizontal Mill Engine

Thanks for your interest guys Playing the Devil's advocate a bit - Stew's drawing is actually dimensionless! With the exception of threads, you could quite happily build it using the same numbers in millimetres, inches, or "Chinese inches" (though the later would be quite big at 488mm bore!)...

    Dake Square Piston Engine

Hi Ian No :- the plan came from a request from a member of the Dake family, I didn't want to take on the work so i asked a friend runs a small engineering firm to quote, the price came out at £1500 each so that put an end to that idea. Some time back I did make a batch of twin osylators to...

    Dake Square Piston Engine

Thanks Chaps, it was one of those engines that i just had to build took me a while to get my head round how to make it, I must have machined it a 1000 times in my mind :wall: I must thank Pat Jorgensen for the information he provided me about the Dake engine his late father Bob built...
