    CAD to CAM conversion

I have a post processor I used to use at my previous employment. We used Virtual Gibbs, and I saved the post processor. Can somebody explain how a post processor is written? If I have this one we used on Virtual Gibbs, can it be modified to work with cambam, cut2d or any other cam programs...

Ron, Cut2D looks like exactly what I need, actually all three programs look like they will work. Do you have one that seems easier and more user friendly to use?? I emailed Cut2D and Sheetcam to see if they have a post processor written for the MX2. Another question.... I have another MX2...

Does anyone know a place I could start..........ACAD is the main cad program I draw with. Gear formulas question.

hey guys, Is there a place you can purchase these hobbs? or will I have to make my own? This looks like the easiest way to make gears that I have seen, but I can't find anywhere that makes the hobb, so I don't have to worry about making it myself. Thanks

My Hodgson 9 Radial Final Assembly

I'm not seeing the valve timing difference. with the 4 lobes exactly 90 degrees apart, they should open cylinders every 20 degrees.?? I think it was the guy on 5bears that made his master rod compensated, but he used steel instead of aluminum for more strength. maybe it was somebody else...

Thanks Steve, I know it runs good.......I've seen quite a few on you tube. I was just being curious if anyone held a timing light on all the other cylinders to see where they were at. Dennis

My Hodgson 9 Radial Final Assembly

Does anyone know how far off the timing would be in degrees on the slave rods if the spacing in not corrected on this engine? Also is there anywhere we can find what the correct hole positions would be to hit TDC every 40 degrees? Just curious Thanks Nice job Terry!! The pictures you gave us...

    Gypsy Engine

I don't think he is out of line for the price. The castings are very good quality. The picture I posted is the castings. There are a lot of steam, and gas engine casting kits out there that cost more.

    Gypsy Engine

I paid $60 for my prints a few years ago. Not sure how much Keystone Pattern is going to charge for castings. You will have to email them and ask. This is an engine that was very popular with builders in the Strictly I.C. magazine. When Les passed away you couldn't buy the castings anymore...

    Gypsy Engine

I just got my set in the mail today. They are very detailed. Abe really did a great job! The original castings were all solid, lots of machining had to be done. These even have detail on the inside.
