Do these lights need any drive adaptors?
I would light to use an LED light ring for my desk lamp that is 115volt.
Have lots of AC/DC adaptors for that. I could cut one in at the plug to wall.
The trick is to use annealed stainless steel or better yet dead soft copper.
You can also acquire dead soft aluminum and have it heat treated.
Be sure to machine your spinning form out of steel if you are going to make multiple pieces.
It really pays for itself.
I need oxygen free copper.
Roofing copper is the worst kind.
When the copper is hard soldered, oxygen combines with the hydrogen and causes water steam to precipitate to the surface which causes embrittlement.
I just called the USA distributors and they were telling me that I have to order 8,000Lbs.
I guess this is what you call unobtainium! :o
I sent an email to the headquarters in Germany. Hopefully a reply wil be here by Monday.
Why they are not distributing small quantities through the normal...
304Cu should soft and hard solder well.
It is also less expensive than 304L.
I'm planning to machine the wheels for my 1/4 scale Stanley Flying Tea Kettle out of 304Cu.
The wheels are 6.75" outside diameter x .75" width.
I am using 304 nails for the wire spokes and soft soldering them to the...
I'm thinking about using this type of stainless steel material for my scale model wheels.

I would use a twist-lock plug for my lathe.
They have more metal contact area and stay connected more securely.
You can acquire these through an electrical supplier.
Maybe "Homeboy" might stock?
Welcome John,

We will be awaiting your progress photos.
Mr. Hurt:

I use a Mappgas torch set, an oxygen/propane/butane set, and an oxy-acetylene but the latter is the fastest and most efficient.
I'm working with very high-temp siver solder so I need very hot flame. 8)
I want a lathe that is compact, under 280lbs. and is a bench top lathe.
I need a high-speed lathe for turning small diameter stock.
I don't want a lathe that needs to be rebuilt, either.
Maybe I should just buy a good used Prazi.
