    Flying Machines

Pretty nice. I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps working on the A6 and F4. Happened to be at MCAS Cherry Point NC when the first of our Harriers was delivered. That was one jaw dropping experience. Pilot did a mini air show so everyone went out to the flight line to watch. He ended by setting...

Hi from Jersey - The original one, not the 'New' one :-)

Welcome to the forum. While it is not as cool as a see through glass cylinder, you can make it out of thin wall PVC sewer / drain pipe. I just used the coupling that joins two pipe sections so I would not have to buy an entire length of pipe. Had to change some of the dimensions, but it still...

    Hello from Italy

Welcome Tony. We always like to hear about new members. Tell us about what you have been up to in the shop.

    Small scale project

Kermit; sure could have used one of those! Chuck, my wife would tell you that when dealing with rascals like me doubt is always a good strategy. ;D Zee; there is just no pulling the wool over your keen eyes!! The quarter was real and no photo shop used. Just a little perspective. Just tilt...

    Small scale project

OK Zee, aeromotor8 and Dean. You hurt me deeply and question my integrity. So here you go. A picture with a REAL quarter. I swear; no photoshop or editing!!!

    Grizzly $25 DRO Query

Rather than something thick or stiff I made my swarf shield out of Xray film material. About 7 thou thick and really tough. Just laid a rule on it and scribed it to make the folds. Easy to work with and really cheap (free). I have some other pics of the mounting if you want to see them. BTW...

    AlphaVictory Engine Build

Yep! Definitely the anti-Mickey. Don't know if you guys have seen it but there is a DVD called "Tails of the Rat Fink" that is a documentary of Roth. Even has some home movies of him. I grew up in the LA area as a kid. Roth used to paint custom T shirts at the county fair. He was well known in...

    Grizzly $25 DRO Query

Here are two shots of mine. I take no credit for the idea for the mounting. Found it on line elsewhere and just made the brackets to do the mounting.

    Grizzly $25 DRO Query

Installed 2 of them on my X2 and really like them. Just have them on the X and Y axis. I will change them out for longer ones when they become available. At that time I may put one on the Y as well. Love the way they work. They are well worth the price in my opinion. I did make some swarf...

My First Build - The EZ engine

Great! Thanks for posting. Be sure you have the plans with the upload dated in November as the older upload had a couple of dimensions wrong on the upright of the frame. Does not hurt to layout and visually confirm that all holes line up with the other parts BEFORE drilling. ;D Saves some...

Nice when you can be brief and summarize the project and video with a single word: AWESOME!!

    Auction Season is Here!

Sure. Go check out www.dakil-auction.com, they are the largest in OKC. You missed the big auction frenzy back in the oil bust of the mid 80's. Many companies went out of business and the assets were auctioned off.
