You have to measure several places along the length of the cylinder, if the dimensions are close together it should be fine. Can you take a picture of the inside surface of the cylinder ?

Just .. think and adjust it in the simplest way. And the engine will run.

Casting: Just a small part of machining. Don't be prescriptive.. , don't make it special... Let people play the way they like and want .

That started from your comment : Moreover, a long time ago ,I asked you about your plans, I just asked to know....because if I buy it, I have to downsize it - a huge work - the way I want because your design is very big compared to what I need for a model engine. or for someone who likes it...

I don't see any problem, it's his choice and right and should be respected. Some people don't even share a plan....but are still considered "gods". ;)😂

Hi @Danuzzo I used the steel grades I had on hand for the cylinder Piston: aluminum 6061, 7075, brass, cast iron If I use cast iron rings, I don't worry too much about the inner diameter of the cylinder, if I use O-rings, I have to bring the inner diameter of the cylinder to the outer size of...

    Upshur's opposed twin engine

I won't argue, I always tune the engine model the way it will run and it runs - that's all I need !

    Upshur's opposed twin engine

As @Jasonb said !! And this is a model engine, it will never achieve what is in the full size engine, so don't compare.

    Upshur's opposed twin engine

That is when the exhaust pressure in the cylinder is still quite large and it will affect the intake stroke. When you build an engine with a compression ratio of 4-1, 5-1 or 6-1 the entire cylinder volume is calculated and when you give it 45 degrees after BDC, what will be the remaining...

Aluminum, steel, steel grade ......for cylinder.., Piston without ring, with CI or O ring.. But there is only : make the best cylinder possible. For me, cylinder is the most important part. Luck is not in this "game", But still wish you luck and please update !!

Hi @Danuzzo . " I just want it to run well, with durability not being a significant factor, but some durability is desired." My experience : Work with whatever steel I have on hand for the cylinder , pistons made of aluminum or cast iron , I have made cylinders with welded steel tubes and they...
