No need for fighting were here to lern never been god at spelling reading or writing. anyway, all the bits are cutoffs or bit i screwed up from the same bar abby and i know i will loss zinc but is it not possible to add that in during the melting process? hayden

G'day all I have left over bits of metal all from the same stick so can i make a pattern and then cast it with the left over matiral? the materal is gunmetal and i would like to cast my cylinders and bit to go with it with this left over gunmetal? Hayden

Thanks GWRdriver me, personally i don't like to change plans just because if its built that way its an original form (but ill will be adding a couple of injectors and compressor for running purposes on a big track and for AALS standards) unless it is going to be a OH&S risk. which i don't think...

GWRdriver, i didnt know about them drawings but no matter ill keep going with what i started and this loco dosnt have to pull anything because our track is the hardest in SA i think and beaing such a small loco it might pull 1 or 2 cars and that would be all but why are you putting larger...

The Plate will become my braking system and the angle and thicker plate will become the reverser and the other 2 are my frame so far ready to be bolted.

These are not the greatest but they work I cut these when I first had almost nothing and no access to a mill and no milling attachments for the lathe. So these were cut by hand. :) And the spacer was meant to be cast but a lot of people just weld a few pieces together like I did.
