I remember a property that I bought a number of years ago, that had an outside loo (toilet for those in the USA). There was a very large rat trapped under the lid !

Reminds me of a story a friend told me.
In his younger days, probably early '60's, they still had an outhouse. It seemed to him, he always had to accompany his sister (a couple years younger) to the outhouse after dark, wait for her and accompany her back to the house. So, one day, he finds an old rubber glove and took a piece of wire to hold the glove just under the seat. He walks her out to the outhouse, and she is in the outhouse, singing a song and then she sits down on the seat and the glove. He said she was singing along, all at once there is a blood curdling scream and she comes running from the outhouse, still screaming trying to run with her jeans around her ankles. He was laughing so hard, he fell down. His 'ole man found out and gave him a hell of a whipping. He said it was worth it to get his sister. Plus, he said he never had to walk her to the outhouse again!!!!
