Hello HMEM members,

I have perused this site for years and years, and made the commitment to join and hopefully become a part of this rewarding hobby.

I am an elevator mechanic by trade, and have always tinkered with everything I could get my hands on. I have a Grizzly G0602 that I converted to VS as well as a Grizzly G0759 mill-drill that I do my work on.

As of now, i have really only built wobble engines until I gain the confidence to try some of the more complex parts that are needed to complete others.

Looking to add a DRO to the G0602, so anyone with pointers on this is welcome to share.

Also, anyone in the Denver area who can tell me where the heck to buy bar stock would be appreciated! I moved to Colorado from Southern California, and I had plenty of options for materials out there, but am striking out here!

Anyway, Hi all!

Welcome to the forum!
Elevator mechanic? I am sure that job has it ups and downs. Sorry I couldn't help it. And I am sure you never heard that one before. :)

I am in Ohio so can't help with local metal suppliers, but both Speedy metals and Online metals have pretty good prices and Online metals has just updated their shipping prices which are now pretty fair.

Hi: I have some chunks of slab aircraft grade aluminum (Fortal) that are off-cuts from the Boeing 777 production line. They used to sell this stuff surplus and 50 pounds was the minimum order and I don't need it all. I’m in Aurora and you can have some for free if you want to stop buy
