I have missed the last 3 years because somehow work always decided to do a launch or other such silly stuff so my weekends were gone. Well this year I have taken Friday - Monday off and will make it.:). I will probably only be there on Saturday though.

See you there. It's a great show - wouldn't miss it ;)

Cheers,
Phil

I envy you guys. The last engine show I went to was GEARS in 2006. I'm definately feeling serious withdrawal symtoms at this point!

I would like to go. is it open to the public, or for members only?

It's open to the public, all welcome ! Definitely worth a visit. I'm toying with flying in from SoCal for the weekend :)

MB,
The annual NAMES show in Toldeo, Ohio is open to the public. You can go as an exhibitor without pre-registering, just show up with your engines. There are rules for exhibitors posted on their website dealing with allowable quantities of flammable fuels, being present with running engines etc. I went for the first time as an exhibitor last year and it was great fun. If you're exhibiting air powered engines, send me a PM and I can explain their tapping fixtures and what you should have for hookups. Lots to see, hope you can make it.

Cheers,
Phil

I will be going to NAMES this year and plan on displaying my Holt tractor.

Thanks everyone. I finally found the web site. I was not putting periods after the letters in "names" show.

I'm good to go! "Honey" wants to tag along if I go on Sunday, since Saturday would interfere with her hobby. So....Sunday it is! ;D

She's very handy when traveling, and will assist me with the parking garage navigation! :big:

I will be there, and Ill be giving a seminar "Adventures in Home Shop CNC"

I would not miss the show- I missed the first one, 1990 I think, but I have been to every one since.

One caution- Saturday is by far the best day. Some guys pack up and leave at teh end of Saturday, and many start to leave Sunday not much past noon. If oyu only come Sunday you will miss a lot.

I will be bringing a new CNC router Im building, and my new rider Ericcson pumping engine.

I'll see what I can do here.

Give me a few minutes.

Rick

I've been to everyone so far and I won't be missing this one.

The nerd badge sounds like a good idea, particularly when the hall is a complete nerd herd paradise, who would notice if they weren't looking for it.

Rumor is that they may move back to Detroit by next year??? Toledos to expensive.
