Hello, I am sorry for being a bit off topic to the model engine discussion.

We got a new mixer machine at home that came with a paint defect on one of the parts. The part seems to have a dent, and the paint around it seems like it is less glossy. I am wondering if this looks like a manufacturing defect, or do you think the machine has been used before?

Looks like it got passed inspection. Doesn’t look like it is a problem, but I would return if the mixer was expensive (or if not too costly, get a partial refund).

It's possible the machine is run as part of QC pre sales.

Thank you guys for the response. I guess it's difficult to know for sure. The machine works but it's just strange to have it on a new machind

My two cents are if it is fit for purpose don't worry and don't waste time on repairing a non-functional glitch.
