What’s Karma mean in your profile?

Could someone explain the Karma meaning and the number after it in someone’s profile.

It's a way for you to offer a small pat on the back to another member who might have posted something you found interesting or helpful.

How do you reward the person that really help you out. In other words how do you use the facility?

Right beneath the Karma count is the word "Applaud". Just give it a click and the member gets a warm fuzzy point...(grin)

I think this is such a good idea and am glad to know its meaning. I think it should be used more as there are a lot of people on here with posts in the high regions with small Karma ratios.
