Gurney, I thought it was a human catapult. ;D
 
Its not really a gurney. Actually, its a shower trolley that you take disabled people down to the shower room on to give them a clean-up. The hydraulic ram in the center has a 2 1/2" dia. rod, and even at its most extreme extension there is still 6" of the rod inside the rod end bushing. The cylinder is a custom made "special" and is anti-rotation as well as having the humungous rod.

No...it is clearly an adjustable stand for a life-sized inflatable doll. Draw your own conclusions about the "humungous rod" comment. :big:
 
Interesting Brian....so if this is used in a wet environment which a shower room would be, what does the patient lay on...hopefully not the four slats shown in the drawing?

No, there is a rigid molded plastic "form" attached to that angle frame, with low sides and a a drain in the downhill end of it
