I bought this steam engine off of eBay which was missing a few parts. I machined the eccentric and a crank for it based on my best guess as to the size of these parts as I did not have an example to copy from. I got it back into running condition. It is a very smooth runner on low pressure. From looking at pics of other steam engines I believe it was part of a Weeden #32 steam engine.

A successful restoration and a good runner as well.

How come I never find anything like that at when I look?

Is anyone reading who can provide a link that will explain how that dual piston valve works? (Maybe I can work it into a future project.)
