Last week I finished another hot air engine, so I thought I'd post a picture for you to look at.
It is not a scale model, but more of a resemblance to a patent design sketch seen in a Stirling engine book. Stirling's 4th engine built in 1843. A 45hp dual displacer, single double acting power cylinder, hot air engine to power the machinery in the Dundee Foundry. The original engine ran for 4 years before failing due to poor materials of the day that could not withstand the high temperatures.
There was not a lot to go on in the sketch, but that provides the builder with a lot of liberties. It was necessary to change a couple things to make a working engine, but I did try to make it resemble the configuration of the sketch.
Hope you liked it.
