Out of intrest has any one had a go at fitting a small flywheel,say from a chain saw along with its power pack on a model engine,instead of points etc for the spark.

Sounds like a mess. Their usually pretty big and a fan built in. You would have less work making one.no saying you couldn't if you could match the taper and have room to mount a prop.
