We have had a rash of spam private messages. Some one registers, waits a few days then sends out a small pile of spam messages as private messages. We ban the spammer and lock then out as soon as we find out about it

If any one gets a spam private message, please report it to the administrators by clicking the report this message button. It is the little triangle in the upper right corner of the message. This alerts all the admins so we can take action.

This particular spammer had been banned early in the day but the PM's lay in wait until the member opens them.
