I am building a webster engine and have been for a couple of years on and off and have heard about a electronic ign for them. can any point me in the direction so I can look this up.?
I am also looking for a couple on minature street lamps that will run on low voltage for my double cylinder engine running a generator It will put out 4 to 8 volts on the current setup I have at 40 psi of air.

Rolland,
Very nice looking engine and generator. Try looking at the O or G gauge model railroading accessories for model street lamps. They are usually 18v, but bulbs of all socket sizes and voltages are available on the internet. Also, street lamps aren't too difficult to make. Regarding your generator, I would put an inline switch mode voltage regulator on your generator output. It will hold your generator output voltage constant as long as the generator output is above the regulator set point voltage. It saves blowing tiny light bulbs on over-voltage (overspeed) which is easy to do. https://www.dimensionengineering.com/products/de-swadj

S/S Machine & Engrg has a very nice compact CDI ignition system for model engines. A lot of builders on this forum use them. I have used the S/S single spark, waste fire, and buzz coil types, and so far they have been trouble free. http://www.cncengines.com/ic.html
