Enjoy.

Kel,

Your cannon is pretty cool.

I like the shot with the magnets.

It's interesting how much the magnets effect the trajectory.

Thanks for sharing.

I can see that you're having great fun with this camera. Slo Mo photography is a very under used tool in manufacturing, it could show the answers to a lot of those engineers stood around scratching their heads.

In my younger days, a chain of events led me to a 6mth temporary contract labouring in a local Royal Ordnance factory, part of that chain of events had me classified with high level security clearance (I'd already passed a 2 week course on the official secrets act) & although I was only there as a 'grunt' they placed me in the R&D ballistics lab with some seriously brainy eggheads & a 200 000 fps Kodak video camera.

They were ironing out a few problems with the SA80 (cough's) which are now well documented but at the time were extremely secret & sensitive. Basically, the gun didn't work.

I had 6mths of filming & editing high velocity bullet flights & machine gun mechanisms on a camera that cost £millions at the time. I thought I'd died & gone to Heaven & I practically begged them to make me permanent at the end of the contract but sadly they shut the whole place down soon after.

Much of what we filmed was released in the early 90's & broadcast on a documentary film on UK Channel 4 called Cutting Edge. My Gf at the time just happened to be the assistant producer & I remember her coming home with this previously Top Secret tape she knew I'd be interested in !

Cool, we used to have one at work for developing glass break detectors, we would shoot metal balls through plate glass windows.

There is some real neat things happening here. Watch closely as the magnets home in on each other
