Hello from Germany,
I came across a defective Hubbard 1912 on eBay that I was able to buy cheaply. Now I have to find out why it doesn't run.The builder decided to use plain bearings instead of ball bearings, which couldn't withstand the pressure of the not so precise crankshaft and broke. But I don't think that's the only reason why it doesn't run.In other posts I saw that the engine actually has a nose piston? This one seems to have a homemade piston.
Does anyone have the plans for the engine?
I would like to restore it true to the original. The levers that go to the plug are also missing. I read that you can build it with a glow plug or spark plug, but I definitely want to build it with petrol and ignition.
Regards, Basti
