rc parts (home machined)

I am just wondering if anyone has machined their own RC parts (planes, heli, car, boat etc)

seeing Bogs little engine mod for a boat got me thinking.
only thing I have made was a prop saver for my GWS brushless slow stick.

you may remember the picture

I really really want to make axles for custom rc's.
and its something high on my list to do.

please share what you have created for your RC.

Hi Speedy,
Iv'e got some variable pitch propeller units for a 25cc petrol (Gas) engine on the todo list.
Just up to the COC drawings at this stage and waiting for the CNC mill to be completed.

Nice prop saver by the way.
I'm looking forward to see what people have got up to as well.

what sort of parts are you thinking about ?I build model boats of sorts and do make a few bits and pieces.

plus some brass fittings on my steam tug long time build,I do bits when I time from other projects and when more info on the full size boat turns up, this normally means scraping a lot of parts.
I enjoy messing about wth bits of brass, nothing clever

My thumb used to quickly became irritated by the sharp points on the transmitter control sticks, especially the right hand stick. I made this new knob out of brass but will be replacing it with an aluminum one. The curve in the top of the knob is very comfortable on the thumb and I have never had a problem with it slipping.

I've been dinking around with converting common outdoor power equipment engines to RC use.
