Portersville (Pa) Steam Show exhibitors still wanted!

As I may have mentioned, I've been appointed to head the grandstand/exhibit building. The show is August 1-4 this year, so I figured I'd better get my butt off dead center and start making plans now - since things get crazy by mid-July. :fan:
To do that, I could really use input from the guys willing to come and set up about what THEY need. At the moment we have 3 lockable display cases, several sturdy tables which could be set up inside or outside, and an air table that could be expanded, depending on how many people need it. if any of those interested, could please let me know what you think you will need, I can start trying to make it work. Thanks!

Going over tomorrow to finish rebuilding two display cases, move a tool board or two, and see about adding a second section to the air table.

For those willing to display multiple days, please backchannel me and I'll send you a gate pass. For those needing help setting up, I'll probably be down on the track with the big 20th Century engine

We extended the table to 16 feet with 14 1/8"npt connections. If that isn't enough We can see about adding 5 more.
Do you guys have a preference for the distance between the table and the bench seat?

Allen 30" between the table and the bench should be fine.Jeff

Jeff, done and done. I hope you guys will like the bigger table. Folks needing help with unloading and setting up should be able to find me down with the big 20th Century.

Also, exhibitors coming from the north are advised to avoid I-79 Southbound at US422. Due to bridge construction, long back-ups of 1/2 hour or more have been experienced in recent weeks. Alternate routes include US19, 18, and 8

Today the electrician got the new (to us) 3HP screw compressor hooked up and running. It's slick, quiet, and capable of supplying a LOT of air He's supposed to bring us a new regulator as well - since the old one decided it quit.. At the moment everything is line pressure, so please be aware and careful.
Also, there is a clipboard for you to sign in and a green tablet to make signs with. We have exhibitor plaques for you, and gate passes for those coming multiple days.

I usually have several regulators and valves n my setup.

not fun to set up and the regulator not regulate.
Have had it happen shut off the air disassemble clean out grit crud from old pipe reassemble back in business.

Quick report: we got LOT of positive reviews on how the building is shaping up (plus the usual grumpy morons). In addition to the air table we had a multi-scale model train display, a display case full of steam toys, and part of my 1/24 ongoing (aka not finished) oil field model project - in the form a board-on-board South Penn Oil pump house. Plus improvements to the dairy line, old photos, etc. etc.
Only two exhibitors (Jeff L and Tom Jones) showed up on Saturday, but with the few models brought by our club members, they managed to make the table look pretty full. We're still looking for more folks to come, especially on the other show days, too.
I was crazy busy Saturday, and only have under con (de?)struction photos. If I can find someone else's Saturday pix I'll post them.

Sad news to report here ,Allen passed away on Monday the 21st, 47 years young .
Allen made great improvements to the model building at Portersville ,for many years I displayed my models there and this year with Allen in charge everything was flawless,He will be missed .Jeff
